The Haryana state Cabinet’s approval
'in principle' of the extension of Delhi Metro to
Gurgaon is in fact a boon to
the residents of the locality. The proposed Metro track will link IFFCO Chowk,
Gurgaon, with Qutab Minar, Delhi.
This stretch of the Metro is proposed to be built on an elevated
track. This proposed track will have a length of 22-km. As per the proposed
plan, there will be 18 stations between IFFCO Chowk and Qutab Minar.
Construction will take place in phases so that the work will be completed within
the projected parameters. The Town and Country Planning Departmentof the
Government of Haryana, will be the nodal department for the DMR link to Gurgaon.
